The Undertaker's 14 WWE Hell In A Cell Matches Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Vs. Shawn Michaels - Badd Blood: In Your House
The only thing capable of pipping the perfect Hell In A Cell match to the post is the perfect wrestling match inside Hell In A Cell. A bold statement? Perhaps, but you should know by now that there was a reason we expected nothing but brilliance when The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels got in the ring together.
Unlike their later classics, however, this one was about more than just the wrestling. A feud that called for a boiling point so desperately that WWE came up with the sadistic concept to serve as the endgame, the match offered up some of the best in-ring psychology and physical storytelling the company had ever seen.
Michaels' attempts to get away from a 'Taker that was both happy to stalk him and couldn't wait to get his hands on him made for an absolutely masterful story, and the only thing he could rely on in the foreign environment was his athleticism - something that an excellent Undertaker was capable of matching in those days.
Hell In A Cell's maiden voyage was a destructive blend of perfect wrestling and well-played theatrics, and Kane's debut in the closing moments was the icing on top of an already delicious cake.
A debut that set the bar so high, not a single Hell In A Cell contest has come close to matching it since.
