After two all-too-brief post-WrestleMania reigns as World Heavyweight Champion, the stars finally aligned in a more long-term fashion for 'The Deadman' in late-2009 as he was granted a much longer reign with the big gold belt - one that actually ended up becoming his longest title reign to date (albeit by just a few days).

If we can take anything away from that awful Montreal Screwjob 2.0. in the fall between 'Taker and then-champion CM Punk, it's that it proved to be a serviceable segue into a great championship stint for 'The Phenom'. Winning the gold from Punk in a somewhat underwhelming Hell In A Cell match, 'Taker went on to dominate the SmackDown landscape over the next five months, engaging in entertaining feuds with old rivals Chris Jericho, Big Show, Punk and Batista.

Just on the outskirts of his prime, the matches weren't quite as high-quality as those in his previous World Title reigns, but an abundance of entertaining Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way and Elimination Chamber matches and a cracking defense against Rey Mysterio ensured it remained a highly enjoyable one.
