While Undertaker's WrestleMania 13 clash with Sycho Sid isn't fondly remembered, it was a servicable beginning to one of the greatest title reigns of the late New Generation/early Attitude Era.

Yes, 'Taker's second reign as champion was a long time coming (six years to be exact), but after 'The Man From The Dark Side' helped keep the company afloat during a period when everyone else was jumping ship, he was finally rewarded with a championship stint that completely obliterated his first.

With the always reliable long-running Paul Bearer feud in the background, 'Taker was more interesting a character than ever before so, in a way, it felt like he was given the belt at the right time here. Not only did the gold elevate that storyline as he faced off against against old rivals like Mankind and Vader, it allowed him to get involved in feuds with superstars he'd never really interacted with before like Farooq.

The legendary superstar may have been more over than ever at that point, but he was also on top form as his 'Lord of Darkness' evolution continued, allowing him to put on classic championship matches against the likes of Mankind and Bret Hart - the latter of which was a spectacular way to end his reign.
