This Week in WWE: AJ Lee Takes Crazy To A New Level

Match of the week: Number one contender Fatal Four way elimination match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Dolph Ziggler vs Christian vs Jack Swagger vs Khali (Raw) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kx7o3Sh2wS0 Khali limped wild on his opponents to start before Christian, Ziggler and Swagger mercifully teamed up to take the giant out of the equation with a unique three way pinfall. Khali eliminated. Back from the break, Christian fended off Swagger and Ziggler with punches before turning around to be hit in the face with a smooth dropkick from Dolph. Ziggler then demanded for Swagger to help finish Christian off as Swagger held Christian in position for an elevated slam to earn a near fall. Swagger then held Christian's arms behind his back for Ziggler to make a charge but Christian dodged and brought Swagger down with him to send Ziggler to the outside where he took a thunderous bump upon landing. Christian then took advantage against Swagger inside the ring executing a springboard elbow and preparing for the killswitch before Ziggler rushed in to take Christian to the mat with a sneaky pinfall. Christian then sent Swagger flying into the corner where Ziggler lay prone before dealing in a chain of reversals with Swagger which culminated in Christian's pinfall being intelligently reversed into an Ankle Lock by his opponent. Christian finally rolled Swagger into the corner to worm his way out of the hold and then hit the killswitch with Ziggler rushing in to steal the pinfall on his own teammate. Swagger eliminated. Christian and Ziggler gave us a predictability entertaining run in to the finish with numerous impressed fans cheering for Dolph throughout the back and forth. With Christian impeccably selling the knee from Swagger's ankle lock Dolph succeeded in grounding him with a dropkick and aggressively stomping on the vulnerable area as his opponent lay on the mat in agony. Dolph then extended the leg before Christian kicked his way out and fired back with some punches. Ziggler then broke Christian's momentum by telegraphing a whip to the turnbuckle and flying over Christian and locking him in the sleeper hold. Christian quickly rolled him off and landed some punches but hobbled around with the pain from his ankle which prevented him from landing a sphere though one catapult later and Christian was able to strike with the move from a closer distance for a near fall. More exciting back and forth then led to the finishing sequence as Christian took a risk by dragging his damaged ankles to the top rope where a distraction from Vickie enabled Dolph to dodge a top rope leap from Christian who exarcebated his injury upon landing and found himself completely vulnerable to a winning zig zag from Dolph. Christian eliminated. This was the perfect match to give Dolph some momentum heading into his world title match even if the opening segment on Smackdown served to put him right back in his place agan (see Fail of the Week).

"Growing up, Laurent was such an ardent fan of wrestling superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin that he actually attempted to send the Texas Rattlesnake a letter demanding that he defeat arch-nemesis The Rock at Wrestlemania 15. Oh hell yeah, it was all still very real to him back then dammit. As an aspiring writer of multiple genres and platforms, he has also recently co-authored a non-fiction movie e-book entitled 'Egos, Cliches, Flops and Lost Films: Examining the powerful madness of the movies' which is written in a similarly light hearted and informative style to his wrestling articles and which can be browsed and purchased by following the link below - http://www.amazon.com/Egos-Cliches-Flops-Films-ebook/dp/B0088YNTBC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339093928&sr=8-1"
