This Week in WWE: AJ Lee Takes Crazy To A New Level

Fail of the week: Punk and Sheamus talk down Dolph Ziggler's chances on Smackdown http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fbiMQSM1yg On Raw Dolph Ziggler won a fantastic fatal four way elimination match to become the number one contender to Sheamus' world Heavyweight Championship. Smackdown then surely would have been the perfect opportunity for Dolph to cut a somewhat lengthy promo talking about what this opportunity means to him and to explain that he will prove to be the ultimate 'show off' as he steals the gold at No Way Out. Instead however he was basically treated like dirt by both Sheamus and CM Punk. Punk, without putting over any of Dolph's skills, simply brought up the fact that he never came through on Vickie's promises and basically said that just like he defeated Dolph at Royal Rumble, Sheamus would also have no trouble defending his title at No Way Out. "Vickie, he then added, if I am the voice of the voiceless, then you are the voice of the pointless." At this moment he might as well have turned to Dolph and screamed in his face that he was just a midcarder. Sheamus at least put over Dolph's "impressive showing" on Raw but then reduced that compliment to nothing when he said that it was just "one night" before making fun of Dolph's ambition to become the new world heavyweight champion as if he was set to defend the gold against Eddie Gilbert. Who could possibly care about a match where we never get to hear the challenger talk and the champion isn't slightly intimidated by the competition? This segment can only be forgiven if Dolph wins on Sunday and is allowed to cut a promo on Raw in which he puts both Sheamus and Punk in their place.

"Growing up, Laurent was such an ardent fan of wrestling superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin that he actually attempted to send the Texas Rattlesnake a letter demanding that he defeat arch-nemesis The Rock at Wrestlemania 15. Oh hell yeah, it was all still very real to him back then dammit.
