Jinder Mahal admits his WWE release on 19 April was "frustrating", but says he's also "at peace" with the end of his second run with the company. According to Mahal, he'd pretty much completed WWE anyway.

The ex-WWE star told Chris Van Vliet's 'Insight' show that he'd "done everything" - Jinder became WWE Champion against all the odds, worked at WrestleMania, headlined pay-per-views and got to travel the world with his friends. He'd argue that's pretty good going, especially following his first release from the roster back in 2014.

In a thoughtful moment, Mahal described chasing the WWE dream as "a young man's game". He put over relative newcomers like Bron Breakker and Carmelo Hayes as ones to watch, then jokingly thanked AEW boss Tony Khan's social media posts for bagging him a bonus World Title bout vs. Seth Rollins out of nowhere.

Later in the interview, Jinder broached the subject of Brock Lesnar seemingly electing not to work with him at Survivor Series 2017. He isn't so sure that's the case, and believes Brock just thought he could have a better match with AJ Styles. Mahal isn't bitter about any of that.
