Alpha Academy are the new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions, having defeated Randy Orton and Riddle on last night's show.

Theirs was the evening's opening match. A relatively clean encounter played out, with Riddle paying the price for trying to nullify Otis on the outside towards the end. When Riddle ate the dirt, Orton was effectively left to face Otis and Chad Gable alone, and was eventually pinned by the former's version of a World's Strongest Slam after a tag.

This is Chad's second Raw Tag Team Title reign following a two-month run with the belts alongside Bobby Roode from December 2018 onwards. Otis, meanwhile, has never held WWE gold of any kind.

RK-Bro's reign ended at 142 days. That period encompasses their victory over AJ Styles and Omos to claim the championships at SummerSlam 2021, as well as successful defences over The Street Profits, The Dirty Dawgs, Bobby Lashley and MVP, and the obligatory Styles/Omos rematch.

Gable and Otis had enjoyed good fortune against Riddle and Orton prior to this match, with the new champions defeating their foes in a three-minute non-title clash last week as well.
