In 2008, The Knockouts Division was on fire. It was composed of a group of talented women who were far-and-away better in the ring than the WWE’s Divas division. TNA also did something that their competition had only done once before on Raw to that point: put two women in the main event of the show.

Awesome Kong and Gail Kim were putting on great matches, and had just battled a few days prior in a No DQ match at Final Resolution, delivering the best match on the show. They were set to battle in a rematch on Impact, and again, they absolutely came through. It wasn’t as long or quite as good as their pay-per-view match, but it was great to see them given the opportunity to close out the show.

The two beat the hell out of each other before Kong viciously won with three straight powerbombs, and once again reinforced that she was the most powerful woman in all of wrestling.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
