TNA's 10 Best Moments

3. Debut Of Angle

In 2006, Kurt Angle was one of the most popular wrestlers in the world. Despite a bad neck, he was also still one of the best in-ring performers in the business. He was shockingly let go from WWE after some drug issues, and had to find a new home.

No one quite knew where he was going to go, but he ended up signing with the much smaller wrestling promotion. It was a huge move for them, one of their biggest to that point. Angle first showed up on TV on 19 October, and went straight for Samoa Joe. This was the dream match that fans had wanted, and TNA was going to give it to them.

In an explosive showdown, the two went face-to-face, and Angle ended up viciously headbutting the TNA original. Joe didn't stay down long, and they began to brawl. They had to be separated, but it was an incredibly hot way for the Olympian to debut, and a great way to set up a series of fantastic matches between them.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
