TNA: 5 Reasons Why Jeff Hardy Is Everything That Is Wrong With Professional Wrestling Today

1. Multiple Chances Over More Deserving Superstars

In the beginning of my diatribe about Jeff Hardy I mentioned that as he was given World title shot after World title shot, Eric Young was given the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. Now let's just forget the fact that he is a "male" competitor and move on. This is what is essentially what is wrong with TNA and why it is doomed to fail. How can an organisation put its faith and its product in the hands of someone who has proven time and time again that he is not only unreliable but downright damaging to the company image, while the whole time you have your very own John Cena in front of your eyes in Eric Young? Eric Young has been the quintessential workhorse in TNA for quite some time now and has won over the masses tenfold time and time again by not only showing how charismatic he can actually be, whether as a heel or a face, but by showcasing his amazing strength (for someone of his build) and combined with his insane talent he has pretty much won over everybody. And along with the fact that we all love this guy (Don't fire Eric, Don't fire Eric) you have the recipe for a true Superstar in the same vein as one John Cena. But unlike Cena, Young has an arsenal of moves in his repertoire and it not at all repetitive on the mike. The funny thing is, there was a time when he amassed such a loyal following that you could see the Cena signs on the wall (pun intended). He could've easily been pushed into the stratosphere of legendary proportions if anyone at TNA had any vision. And this is the essential reason on why my hatred for Jeff Hardy knows no bounds. Peoples misguided belief that he is actually any good has held back or buried just as many wrestlers as Triple H has. How the hell does this guy get a push or World Title Run over ANY TNA original or fan favorite? This can also be applied to WWE as well. For no matter what you think of Matt Hardy (and many others for that matter), he was a lot more deserving of a WWE Championship run more so than his brother. But Jeff managed to get several runs in both companies over much more deserving people who have worked tirelessly to make these brands the best they can be. How can any self-respecting wrestling fan support this guy? And for those who say "everyone deserves a second chance," I 100% agree. But with Jeff we are on about his 6th chance now. Don't believe me? Let's break down his history in the past decade shall we? 2003_Got fired from WWE for failing multiple drug tests, refusing to go to rehab, no showing events & deteriorating ring performances.... 2006_Got fired from TNA for no showing a PPV & live events 2009_Given second chance at WWE in 2006 and a World Title Push....After another 3 violations of the now "Wellness Policy" plus other "issues" was fired AGAIN from WWE Arrested for TRAFFICKING & possession.... 2011_After a 2nd chance by TNA, given world title push plus own "Immortal" stable, shows up inebriated, forced to drop title in 90 seconds to Sting....suspended, should've been fired, is retained but brother Matt is let go.... 2012_YET ANOTHER CHANCE! Back as World Champ over long standing TNA Originals.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNSZgbJsSxU As long as Jeff Hardy remains the staple of TNA television the company will get nowhere. Having him as a main eventer over TNA Originals says to me that they are not interested in building a strong and stable company, rather then just out to make a quick buck before their eventual demise. And since they can't even seem to manage that nowadays, maybe it's time to reevaluate his position within the company. Considering the actual GREAT wrestlers you have released in the past few months (Douglas Williams, Matt Morgan and Mickie James just to name a select few), I think it's time to either shut up shop or sell it to Vince cause you honestly don't have a clue how to run a professional wrestling company. Or sell it to Shane O' Mac. BRING BACK SHANE O' MAC, BRING BACK SHANE O' MAC (see previous article for reference).

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life???? All demos, no albums ;)
