TNA Reportedly Interested In Signing R-Truth (WWE News)

Truth in TNA could potentially lead to further appearances on WWE TV post-release.

Wrestling Observer chief Dave Meltzer says there's definite interest from TNA in signing released ex-WWE star R-Truth ASAP. Triple H's decision to release veteran names like Truth and Carlito didn't go down well with many wrestling fans on social media, but most of the sentiment was reserved for Ron Killings.

Fans were so incensed by the move that they trolled WWE programming with booming chants of, "WE WANT TRUTH" across episodes of Raw, SmackDown and even developmental show NXT this week. On SmackDown, John Cena even addressed the chants by cutting them off with a quick bellow of: "You can't handle the truth".

That led to more heel banter from Cena as he continued to hype Logan Paul as a future World Champion and build towards his tag-team bout alongside LP vs. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at Money In The Bank 2025.

According to Meltzer, "Those in TNA have already said that they want to make [Truth] an offer". Dave believes that R-Truth would come into the company "fairly hot" due to the uproar surrounding his WWE departure and his own history with the TNA brand.

If this does happen, then it'll soothe some concerns about Truth's immediate future, but it's likely those irked by WWE's budget cutting when posting mass profits will still be miffed.

Technically, WWE Would Be Able To Use TNA's R-Truth

Somewhat bizarrely, Truth signing with TNA would potentially open a backdoor onto WWE programming yet again. Both promotions announced a working partnership earlier this year, and there's always going to be scope for talent beaming back and forth between both companies whilst that's in effect.

It's also why TNA stars like Joe Hendry were able to work WrestleMania 41, and why Hendry then dropped the TNA World Title to Trick Williams at NXT's Battleground show in late-May. In theory, Truth could show up in TNA and then appear on episodes of Raw, SmackDown or NXT again in the future.

Fans shouldn't rule anything out here. Stranger things have definitely happened.
