Tony Khan Teases Kamille's AEW Return (AEW News)

Kamille hasn't been seen on AEW TV since November.

Having not been seen on AEW programming for four months by this point, could Kamille be set for a return to TV? Maybe...

Speaking with The Battleground Podcast (via f4wonline), Tony Khan teased the prospect of Kamille returning to get revenge on whoever attacked her back in November.

As Khan explained:

"We don’t know who attacked Kamille, and the last time we saw her, she was attacked. We know she had a breakup with Mercedes Moné in their business relationship. Mercedes is flourishing since then, she’s done really well on her own, but Kamille, we haven’t seen her since she was attacked. When Kamille does return to get payback for that attack, it’ll be interesting to see who she goes after and what that was."

That aforementioned attack took place on the 30 November episode of AEW Rampage, where Kamille was found laid out backstage. Since then, the former NWA Worlds Women's Champion has not been seen at all on AEW TV. In terms of in-ring, Kamille last wrestled on the 30 October AEW Dynamite, losing to Kris Statlander as part of Stat's feud with Mercedes back then.

Kamille In AEW

Having become a free agent at the turn of 2024, Kamille reportedly had interest from both WWE and AEW before opting to sign with Tony Khan's promotion. That signing was reported in April '24, and the Brickhouse would debut in July, attacking Britt Baker and aligning with Moné at the Blood & Guts special. Kamille's run alongside the CEO was ultimately a short one, lasting just four months before the pair split.

In her time with AEW, Kamille has only wrestled six matches, four of which were total squash matches, one a slightly longer win over Queen Aminata, and then that loss to Statlander.

Given how the 32-year-old vanished from TV, many have speculated about Kamille's future with AEW. Even more peculiar is the fact that AEW has recently been promoting the Queen of the Ring movie - including on-screen appearances from director Ash Ivildsen and a couple of the film's supporting players, and a smidge of Toni Storm - yet opted against using Kamille in any capacity for this promotion. For those unaware, Kamille plays the legendary June Byers in Queen of the Ring, with that role a significant one that plays heavily into the story of the film's lead character, Mildred Burke.

For an AEW-contracted talent to have such a notable role in a movie that AEW is promoting... and for AEW not to feature that talent to push the movie... while instead using a couple of actors who have minimal roles in the picture... as that talent does the press round with other outlets? Yeah, that's quite the choice. As such, it's easy to see why some fans might continue to speculate on Kamille's future with the company.

Either way, these latest Tony Khan comments should at least give some hope that Kamille might be back on screens and cracking skulls in the future, with the North Carolina native far too talented to be left spinning her wheels on the sidelines. For those wondering, Kamille choose not to comment when asked about her AEW status during a recent interview with WrestleZone to promote Queen of the Ring.
