Ronda Rousey has teased that Saturday's MMA scrap with Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam could be her final pro wrestling match.

News broke shortly after SummerSlam that top names like Ronda and Brock Lesnar are expected to take time off from WWE, but Rousey has taken things one step further. She posted on her official Instagram page to say Baszler was "the reason I got into this business".

Now, following their ill-received match together in Detroit, Ronda says: "Now I got no reason to stay".

There's always a chance Rousey will take some time to weigh things up before making her mind up for good. She's never really enjoyed the love affair with WWE's fanbase that some probably expected following early positive reactions. In fact, Ronda has lashed out at punters more than once.

So, is this going to be the end of her run in wrestling? It's possible. Rousey may argue that she's got nothing left to achieve in WWE, but this isn't the first time she's taken an extended sabbatical to focus on other projects and her family life.

Some fans believe her social media post had an air of finality about it.
