Top WWE Star Laments "Trying To Please Too Many People"

This major WWE star says previous ideas "became a crutch" he leaned on too much.

Finn Bálor has told WWE's 'After The Bell' show he was "trying to please too many people", including the "creative team, writing team, merchandise team, promotions team, [and] tickets team" by portraying the 'Demon' guise on company television and pay-per-view.

Realistically, Finn has never thought his "transformation" into the persona makes much sense to WWE fans. Why? Well, he doesn't think there's enough context as to what the character represents, or why it sporadically appears for a match or two before going back into storage.

Generally, he'd describe the thing as "a crutch", and arguably one he's leaned on a little too much over the years.

That'll be a bit of a bummer for anyone hoping he'd bust the 'Demon' out again at some point in the future. For now, Bálor is totally focused on having a banger match vs. Seth Rollins at Money In The Bank, and he isn't really thinking about "trying to keep so many people happy" (behind the scenes and in the audience) by reaching for the paints.

So, in other words, don't expect to see the 'Demon' pop up on programming for a while - if it ever does again.
