With WrestleMania 37 edging ever closer, now’s about the time that WWE will often opt to bring Brock Lesnar back to TV in order to line something up for the Beast at the company's annual Showcase of the Immortals event.

Lesnar hasn’t been seen on TV programming since losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. But could the eight-time World Champion be set to make his WWE return at this year’s ‘Mania? Triple H has been addressing that very topic in a recent interview with Yash Bhati of The Hindustan Times.

As the Game – who faced Brock back at WrestleMania 29 – explained:

“One of the things I have learnt about him, is Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do. Nobody can talk him into doing things differently. So time will tell. If he wants to show up at WrestleMania, he will. If he doesn’t, he won’t. The only way to get that answer is to call Brock Lesnar.”

With Lesnar these days living up in the mountains of Canada, the ongoing global pandemic has often meant that Brock simply couldn’t make it to WWE programming even if he wanted to. And even if travel restrictions were lifted, there’s the bigger question of whether the former UFC Heavyweight Champion can be bothered to fly in from Canada during the middle of a pandemic.

Following WrestleMania 36, Brock Lesnar’s WWE deal actually expired, meaning he’s technically a free agent right now. The belief has been that the relationship between these two parties is a good one, and that a new deal could easily be agreed down the line at some point.

From Lesnar’s standpoint, he’s long shown that he’s prepared to crack some skulls in a WWE ring if the money on the table is right. The issue WWE has right now, though, is that they are likely hesitant to bring Brock back into the fold right now, for the cost of securing the powerhouse may not be deemed worth it for a WrestleMania that will have a reduced number of fans in attendance.

Still, Brock Lesnar is Brock Lesnar. And with WWE keen to have two "major" matches on each day of WrestleMania 37, Lesnar definitely fits the bill as a true megastar who brings eyes to anything he's involved in.
