Triple H MISSED Last Week's WWE SmackDown
Paul 'Triple H' Levesque was absent from last Friday's WWE SmackDown taping.
Paul 'Triple H' Levesque was not present at last week's WWE SmackDown tapings.
PWInsider Elite reported on Levesque's SmackDown absence earlier this week, noting that Bruce Prichard was running the show instead. There is currently no word on why, exactly, Triple H wasn't there on Friday.
It was stated at the time that Triple H's status for last night's Raw was unclear. Nothing has emerged yet to suggest he wasn't at Raw, though it hasn't been reported that he was there either (at least at the time of publishing).
Levesque has worked as WWE's Chief Content Officer since July 2022, inheriting the company's creative throne when his father-in-law, Vince McMahon, was forced to resign in disgrace amidst multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. McMahon is alleged to have paid tens of millions of dollars in company money to suppress the claims.
McMahon returned to WWE's Board of Directors as Executive Chairman at the time. Though the WWE Board resisted this initially, the 77-year-old claimed he would not consent to new media rights deals being signed or the company being sold otherwise. In April, WWE was bought out by Endeavor, resulting in Vince regaining the final say in all things creative.
