Paul 'Triple H' Levesque has effectively been relegated to "busy work" in his role as WWE's head of creative, following Vince McMahon's return to power at last night's WWE Raw.

Dave Meltzer reported as much on Wrestling Observer Radio, stating that with Vince McMahon effectively regaining control of WWE in the wake of the Endeavor acquisition, Levesque no longer has the "final say" on creative. As was the case prior to his July 2022 resignation as Chairman and CEO, this is Vince's realm now.

Levesque has retained his "Chief Content Officer" role in Endeavor's NewCo, which will see WWE merge with the UFC. It sounds, however, like his responsibilities have been greatly diminished. Endeavor chief Ari Emanuel has stated that if McMahon doesn't want something to happen on the wrestling side of the business, it won't.

Emanuel will not be involved in running the wrestling side of NewCo's operations. McMahon is leading those activities, with Nick Khan, WWE's President, as his number two.

McMahon was backstage at last night's WWE Raw, effectively running a poorly-received broadcast that was stricken by myriad last-minute rewrites. Meltzer reported that WWE's state has effectively returned to what it was prior to McMahon being forced to resign in disgrace amid sexual misconduct allegations.

Levesque had been appointed WWE's head of creative following Vince's departure last July.
