Triple H just cashed out on $1,018,569 worth of WWE stock.

The relevant SEC filing shows that 23,255 shares were sold at $43.80 each on Monday 4 May, making for the total listed above. This leaves WWE's Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events, and Creative with 144,646 in Class A Common Stock in the company.

As noted by the foremost independent expert in wrestling finances, Wrestlenomics' Brandon Thurston, this is the first time Triple H has sold substantial volumes of WWE shares since first becoming a company executive. The value of his remaining shares in the promotion currently sits at approximately $6.3 million.

Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn have both sold varying volumes of WWE stock in recent times, so we can now add Hunter to that list. Though the promotion's market value has been shrinking since 2019, better-than-expected Q1 2020 financial results saw a bump in their stock price - which is probably why Triple H chose to swap shares for cash this week.

Even with the ongoing global health crisis and the loss of live event revenue, WWE still stands to make record-breaking profits in 2020, thanks largely to their guaranteed TV contracts.
