Triple H: Seth Rollins' Injury "Doesn't Look Good" (WWE News)

Not the news WWE - or anybody else - wanted to read...

At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, the company's latest primetime offering for NBC, Seth Rollins was put on the injury list when he damaged his knee in a match against LA Knight. Attempting a springboard moonsault, Rollins was meant to land on both feet after anticipating Knight countering it.

Seth immediately clutched at his right knee, hurriedly did a clean job for Knight in an improvised finish, and was assisted out of the arena. This created something of a messy situation, in that WWE was left scrambling to fill the remainder of the time.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select was able to immediately report that the injury was not a work. Further details have now been revealed by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque.

Speaking in the post-show press conference following the Evolution Premium Live Event, Levesque disclosed that while the severity of the injury is "inconclusive", "it doesn't look good". Levesque and WWE will only learn the extent of the damage, and the length of any absence, when Rollins undergoes an MRI in Birmingham, Alabama. This is set to take place today (Monday, July 14). Given that Seth is the top pushed heel on Monday Night Raw, the timing could barely be more disastrous, if indeed Rollins is facing a significant layoff. More worryingly still, this is not Seth's first issue with his knees.

Sean Ross Sapp was also able to confirm that Rollins was spotted backstage at Evolution. This was confirmed by Levesque, who said that Seth wasn't going to miss his wife Becky Lynch's big night.
