Triple H's 10 Best WWE Matches Ever

3. Triple H vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania 20

A good example would be WrestleMania 2000, where a very forgettable four way match for the WWE Championship main evented the show. However, this match at WrestleMania XX was possibly the best triple threat match in WWE history. Going into WrestleMania, it was largely suspected that Chris Benoit (who won the 2004 Royal Rumble) would finally be getting his due with a run as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. When Shawn Michaels was added to the match, many fans started to doubt whether or not Benoit would actually get his moment, a title win while main eventing WrestleMania, which many fans had waited years to see. Those fears proved to be unwarranted, as these three men went out and had a match for the ages. After receiving criticism from fans the previous year at WrestleMania XIX for not putting over Booker T (which was probably the right decision in hindsight), Triple H did the honors and tapped out to the Crippler Crossface to conclude WrestleMania XX, putting over Benoit cleanly in the center of the ring. Benoit was joined in the ring by his good friend Eddie Guerrero, the WWE Champion at the time, and the two embrace with tears in their eyes to conclude a memorable WrestleMania.
