Triple H's 10 Most Notorious Urban Legends

10. He Is Hated By Bill Goldberg

Story: There have been a number of stories over the years about how Bill Goldberg doesn't really like Triple H. You might recall that they worked together in 2003 when Hunter put Goldberg over to become the World Champion on the Raw brand, but when Goldberg flopped as the champion it was Hunter that got the title back from him a few months later. Some might say Goldberg never had a fair shot to be "the man" and Hunter buried him quickly. A few years ago there were also reports that Triple H and Shawn Michaels told others backstage saying that they didn't think Goldberg was worthy of being in WWE's Hall of Fame. While Goldberg didn't have a long career, anybody that was a top guy (in his case in WCW) for 3-4 years is usually going to get in. He's certainly more credible than somebody like Koko B Ware. Goldberg hasn't wrestled for ten years and his name never comes up for Hall of Fame discussions, so it sounds like that opinion that he's not a HOFer could be true. It's worth mentioning that earlier this year Goldberg noted that he did talk to Triple H about possibly coming back to WWE although nothing ever happened. Why People Believe It: Goldberg only had a one year run in WWE and after he left he complained about a lot of things that happened while specifically mentioning Hunter. His name is rarely mentioned by anybody in WWE even though he was one of the biggest stars in WCW. It's as if he didn't even exist. Should We Believe It: Yes. There definitely was bad blood there. Whether it's still there or not, it's hard to tell. As we've seen in wrestling when guys get older they tend to repair relationships that were negative, so the idea of them working together in the future is a possibility. Friends? Probably not.
