5. He Married Stephanie McMahon Just To Get To The Top
Story: Stephanie McMahon is the daughter of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, so there are people out there that think whoever married Stephanie would have a lot of power in WWE just because of who she is. Stephanie ended up marrying Triple H in 2003. The WWE's power couple work side by side as executives in the company. Triple H is in a position that no other wrestler is in right now. As he has mentioned many times in the past, he was sitting on creative meetings before he was dating Stephanie although his relationship with Vince's daughter has likely helped him ascend to the spot he's in. While other wrestlers just retire and work indy shows when they are done working full time, Hunter's in a position where he is am major decision maker regarding the future of WWE. Would he be in that spot if he wasn't in WWE? No idea, but it's no surprise that the husband of Stephanie is in an important role. Why People Believe It: It's wrestling. A lot of people in wrestling have done underhanded things to get what they want out of life and the people that don't like Triple H probably think he is one of those people. They were also a storyline couple before they were a real life couple, so the doubters point to that as a reason that it is not some true marriage based on love. Should We Believe It: No. They have three daughters together and appear to be legitimately in love. It's not one of those things where it looks fake. Some celebrity couples are like that, but these two work together and are around each other all the time. Obviously his marriage has helped his career, but to say that he only married her because of his job is a bit much.
