Triple H's WWE Characters Ranked - From Worst To Best
7. The Last In-Law
In 2008 and 2009, when Triple H was between DX reunions, he was sort of lacking any true direction. Still, that didn't stop the company from putting the WWE Championship on him a few more times.
Triple H won the WWE Championship from Randy Orton after WrestleMania 24, then was drafted to Smackdown. He proceeded to reign over his new kingdom for several months, feuding with the likes of The Great Khali and Vladimir Kozlov and playing a bad-a** babyface character despite being nearly 40 and way overexposed.
One year on Smackdown was enough for Triple H, and when he came back to Raw, he was once again feuding with Randy Orton. This time, a DDT from Orton to Stephanie McMahon led to the first on-screen admission that the pair were married in real life. HHH started teaming up with Vince and Shane McMahon on-screen, but was still a babyface (because there are no more relatable faces than a family of billionaires).
HHH would soon ditch his father and brother-in-law and start hanging out with Shawn Michaels again, and you can't really blame him.
