Two Former Women's Champions To Collide On WWE Raw Next Week

Challenge issued Monday night with a promise of a "receipt coming" in seven days.

Carmella will face Raw Women's Championship #1 contender Asuka in a grudge match next week on Raw.

The Princess of Staten Island issued the challenge during a backstage interview where she lit into the Empress of Tomorrow about their recent encounters, closing her challenge with a promise that she had a receipt coming.

Since returning last month, Carmella has run afoul of Asuka a couple of times, first in their six-woman tag match where Asuka attacked her Raw teammates en route to winning the match. Then at Elimination Chamber on Saturday, they were the last two in the chamber, with Asuka overcoming a series of kicks and near-falls to make Carmella submit.

Earlier on Raw, Asuka defeated Nikki Cross, who also was in the chamber match on Saturday. There's no indication of whether the Empress is going to continue making her way through the Raw women's roster on her way to facing Bianca Belair at WrestleMania, but the outcome of next week's match should be pretty obvious.
