UFC 249 Preview And Prediction

4. Calvin Kattar Vs. Jeremy Stephens

To be the dark horse in a division that is as stacked as UFC's 145lb weight class, you've really got to be flying under the radar. However, there really is no other way to describe the extremely talented Calvin Kattar.

He's quietly made a name for himself at featherweight, taking out the likes of Ricardo Lamas and Shane Burgos since he joined the promotion. While we don't get to see quite as much when it comes to his grappling, Kattar is a stinging striker with incredible hand speed and accuracy.

His opponent, Jeremy Stephens, is a wily veteran who has managed to perfect the craft of being a power puncher. If you look early on in his career, Stephens would swing from the fences with every strike. If he landed, his opponents would be obliterated, but if he didn't, he ran the real risk of gassing himself out quickly

While he still packs a punch, he's far more selective with his shots, making him even an even more dangerous threat. Kattar, however, is such a slick boxer that it's difficult to not imagine him sticking on the outside and landing strikes just outside of Stephen's range.

Calvin Kattar via unanimous decision.
