Slaughter, Warrior and Savage culminated their feud with a Career Ending match at WrestleMania VII. The match had the perfect mix of good in-ring work and the perfect amount of drama. After a back and forth match that saw each man come close to winning, Randy Savage put Warrior down and hit him with four flying elbows off of the top rope. Savage's finishing move was rarely not the end to a match and the crowd exploded when Warrior kicked out. After more drama where Savage kicked out of the Warrior's big splash off of the ropes, the Ultimate Warrior finally finished his rival in dominating fashion and won the match. The soap opera really kicked into high gear once the match ended, as "Sensational" Sherri freaked out over Savage losing and attacked her former man. At that point, Savage's former manager Elizabeth stormed out of the crowd and threw Sherri to the mat to a gigantic reaction from the crowd. The Macho Man and Elizabeth then had a tearful reunion that was a masterful stroke of booking from the WWF. It was simply the Warrior's best match ever and remains as emotional today as it was in 1991.
