Ultimate Warrior: Always Believe DVD Review - 5 Things That Ruled And 5 That Sucked

2. No Punches Pulled

Warrior is as candid as ever in the sit-down interviews. He clearly doesn't care who he p***es off and is free to say as he wishes. It's good that WWE didn't try to tone Warrior down or dilute his responses because hearing Warrior speak from the heart is one of the best things about the release. No punches are pulled when it comes to talking about Warrior's past indiscretions. They discuss Warrior 'holding up' Vince for $500,000 before SummerSlam 1991. Warrior talks about getting into shape following his comeback at WrestleMania VIII and how WWE were in the midst of a federal trial concerning the illegal distribution of steroids (which Warrior acted as a witness for). Warrior mentions how these things 'cannot be taken out when talking about anything' and he's right. The story would not be complete without mentioning them. McMahon comments that 'Warrior has always been very, very honest. Almost to a fault' and we see that in Always Believe. Vince is also honest and talks about having to suspend Warrior and Davey Boy Smith in 1992 for using Human Growth Hormone. It's not a shoot interview. Far from it. But Warrior and co. are refreshingly honest when talking about his career and life.
