Ultimate Warrior: Always Believe DVD Review - 5 Things That Ruled And 5 That Sucked

1. The Human Side Of The Warrior

What would WWE fans see when they looked at Warrior? They see a sprinting, jacked up guy wearing face paint and delivering incomprehensible promos. He was a cartoon character come to life. It's hard to humanise a guy like that in your mind. Warrior may have appeared larger-than-life inside the ring but, outside of it, he was a loving and dedicated family man whose biggest thrill in life was spending time with his wife and two daughters. This is not something that fans would have ever known about Warrior. The consensus was that he was a selfish man who only cared about himself. This documentary refutes that. Warrior is shown doting on his daughters, who reveal that every Birthday he would draw them a personalised card with a poem in it, just for them. The montage of family photos and his girls' emotional testimony is hard to watch at times. Warrior was clearly a great husband and father and it's nice to see his more human side highlighted here.
