1. The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle (WWE Championship Match) - No Way Out 2006
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1110up_wwe-no-way-out-2006-kurt-angle-vs-the-undertaker-world-heavyweight-championship_sport Do you remember the end of Royal Rumble 2006? Kurt Angle had just defeated Mark Henry in the main event to retain the WWE Title when The Undertaker showed up. He shot a bolt of lightning that broke the ring with Angle inside of it. That was Undertaker's way of saying he was gunning for the WWE Title. That angle led to this match in the main event of No Way Out. These two had a number of really good matches together years prior, but this one was clearly the best. Undertaker was in incredible shape while incorporating some MMA style offense in his arsenal. Angle was the greatest technical wrestler alive (maybe ever), so it was the perfect time for Undertaker to go up against him. There was so much drama in this match. So many nearfalls. The near submissions were even better. At one point Undertaker was going for a Tombstone Piledriver to finish him off, but Angle crawled down his leg and applied the deadly Ankle Lock. Somehow, Undertaker got out of it. The announce team of Michael Cole and Tazz made it a point to mention that Undertaker had never tapped out before, so there was a lot of drama every time Angle had him in a submission. They really did a fantastic job with the finish. Undertaker applied the Triangle Choke (later named Hell's Gate) and it looked like Angle was ready to pass out. Instead, he flipped over in a pinning predicament. Undertaker's shoulders were down for three seconds, so Angle retained the World Title. If it was a WrestleMania match it would be up there among the best Undertaker matches ever. While I wouldn't rank it ahead of Undertaker/Michaels at WrestleMania 25, it might be the second best of his legendary career. That's a testament to just how great Angle was. It's an epic match that some people may have forgotten. If you have WWE Network, check out this main event of No Way Out 2006. You won't regret it.
