Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT (Oct 14)
1. Storm In A Tea Cup
So there's this thing called joined-up thinking. It basically states that a problem can best be overcome when everybody who is individually working on it is singing from the same collective hymn sheet.
Just, as an example, say you wanted to bring back a pro-wrestler after an extended absense from the product. The team working on the video package announcing her return will have one set of ideas, the bookers putting the match together might have some others, and then the producers working with the commentary team have theirs two. Provided they're all trying to get the same thing over, there's no problem.
But if the team working on the video package want you to believe there's a new version of Toni Storm who's badder and meaner and more focussed than you've ever seen before, but her return match is booked to have her constantly selling to the division's rookie, all while commentary talks about her "ring rust"... well, that's f***ing mess, isn't it?
