3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Unreal Season 2 (Review)
UPS
3. The Original SummerSlam Plans
One of the most interesting elements of WWE Unreal has been the whiteboard in the writer's room. A close look at this seemingly innocuous background prop has given fans some of the juiciest post-season discussion points from WWE Unreal.
A look at the whiteboard in Season 2 of WWE Unreal reveals that the original plans for SummerSlam 2025 looked much different than how the PLE actually panned out. Only the World Heavyweight Championship showdown between Gunther and CM Punk survived from the original plans for the first-ever two-night SummerSlam.
'Demon' Finn Balor was originally booked to take on his Judgment Day stablemate, Dominik Mysterio. A blockbuster encounter between Roman Reigns and Bron Breakker seemed set to happen, as well as a Bella Twins reunion to take on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Seeing these speculative matches is one of the most fun aspects for fans and one of the few ways in which Unreal feels like a genuine peek behind the curtain.
