Vince McMahon's WWE Performance Center Trip Reportedly "A Breath Of Fresh Air"
Notes on how Vince's trip to the Performance Center went - and who accompanied him.
Vince McMahon's recent trip to the WWE Performance Center has been described as a "breath of fresh air", despite the apprehension some people felt prior to the chairman and CEO hitting the facility.
This is according to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, who notes that WWE president Nick Khan, executive director Bruce Prichard, and head of talent relations John Laurinaitis accompanied Vince to the PC, where the group met with staff members and watched training sessions.
Johnson notes that it was feared before the visit that McMahon's arrival would precipitate some kind of bloodletting. This wasn't the case, however, despite the swooping cuts WWE has made to its talent pool in 2021.
Yesterday's trip has been described as "very much a positive day."
That McMahon would be attending the Performance Center on Thursday was revealed earlier this week, following on from recent visits by the likes of Prichard and Laurinaitis. It is understood that high-ranking company officials have been making these trips to check up on talent with a view to replenishing a main roster talent pool depleted by recent releases and other issues.
This problem is particularly relevant to SmackDown, which is down to around 20 active male wrestlers and less than half that number of women.
