4. Joe Coffey Gets The First Pinfall Win

Primate Joe Hendry
Oli Sandler / The Ringside Perspective

'Iron Man' Joe Coffey already has a match scheduled against Kurt Angle in another promotion, but he knew that facing the former Olympian on the WCPW stage (via iPPV) would be absolutely massive. Giving his all, Coffey was the first one to pick up an actual pinfall elimination in the 15-man Rumble.

The dastardly Prince Ameen snatched Gabriel Kidd's chance out from under his nose, reminding him that he was in charge and planned to therefore take Kidd's slot in the Rumble. Despondent, Kidd had no choice but to once again go along with his "master". Due to this, Gabriel must have found it hard to suppress a smile when Ameen was then eliminated by Coffey.

Most wrestlers in the match had been focusing on trying to throw others over the top rope, but the Scot had other things in mind. Not only did he pin Prince Ameen, Coffey also tried to make Liam Slater submit by way of a Boston Crab later in the bout.

Superb conditioning almost helped Coffey come through, but even though he came up short at least he was able to shut Ameen up.
