2. Primate Ups The Intensity Of The Rumble

Primate Joe Hendry
Oli Sandler / The Ringside Perspective

Humour wasn't something anybody expected from a stoic professional wrestler such as Doug Williams, but the overall atmosphere in the building changed when the final man was unveiled. Coming in as the last entrant, it's easy to imagine fans were conversing about the very real chances that Primate would leave as the winner of the Kurt Angle Invitational Rumble.

There was an altogether chilly vibe to proceedings when the animalistic beast ripped off his primal headgear, spat everywhere and then roared into the ring. At that point, it looked like Primate would be the one to go on and win the entire thing.

Things didn't quite work out as planned for the man (if indeed he is a man), but he brought a visceral aura to the ring with him that had been previously missing. Only the superhuman strength of Joe Hendry could vanquish him, Primate was caught with a spectacular Fallaway Slam by the Local Hero, one that launched him over the top rope to the floor.

Any smiles and notions of laughter dropped rapidly when Primate made his entrance, he's definitely capable of striking fear into everybody around him.
