How do you prepare for a match against an Olympic gold medalist and all-round global superstar like Kurt Angle? Have steel plates inserted into your ankles? Cry to your mum in the knowledge you've gotten yourself into something you'll probably regret? Pray to all the gods?

To me, these are cracking ideas - but not for Joe Hendry. The Local Hero has his sights set on taking on The American Hero this Thursday at WCPW Refuse To Lose iPPV, and the Scottish star is nothing short of confident. Unlike most of us, for whom the prospect of stepping in the ring with Kurt Angle sounds like a nightmarish scenario, for Hendry it is the culmination of a dream. And he's not about to let it slip through his grasp.

He's throwing a ball against the wall. He's flipping tyres. He's hoisting barrels with all the aggression of Donkey Kong. And most of all: he's ready. Question is: is Kurt?
