2. The Sparkling Atmosphere Of The Main Event
Rightly positioned in the main event slot, any match involving world-class talent like Cody Rhodes and Kurt Angle is going to steal the show. In stirring fashion, fans in Manchester were screaming the house down before either man had even touched the other. Angle and Rhodes hadn't even locked horns, yet fans made the atmosphere special.
Chants of 'This Is Awesome' filled the arena as Kurt and Cody stood facing one another in the ring. That joy only intensified moments later when the wrestlers involved the referee assigned to their match in some fun and games. Nobody could have guessed that Steve Lynskey would garner such wild cheers.
Performing a picture-perfect cartwheel, Cody cleared the floor for his 'Olympic Hero' peer to do the same. Angle obliged, all before pointing at the official and demanding that Lynskey indulge him. Left with no choice, the referee did some gymnastics of his own.
Suddenly, the crowd erupted. This was a unique atmosphere, it's almost as though everyone in attendance would have paid to see the cartwheels alone. 'This Is Awesome' was repeatedly reverberating around the crowd once more.
