He screamed and demanded that his contract be honoured and he be given an opponent. Norton and Steve McMichael's got into it, but it was Randy Savage who made the save.

Aside from teaming with Buff Bagwell, Norton was a member of the nWo and became lost in the shuffle during the stable's recruitment overdrive. Norton's career was notably more impressive when he left WCW to return to Japan, where he captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship for the second time. In 2006, upon becoming a freelancer in Japan, Norton entered semi-retirement.
