WCW Superstars: Where Are They Now?

10. Norman Smiley - WWE Performance Center

The man famous for his wiggle. Norman turned out for WCW in the last four years of its existence and proved to be one of the most popular mid carders. This was mainly due to another one of his signature moves, the "Smiley Spank." This saw him mock his opponents by doubling them over, straddling them, and performing a slapping motion with his hands to their respective a**es. He would later turn heel in a role that Fandango takes up in today's WWE product. He announced himself to be European and better than mere Americans while insisting that everyone pronounce his name properly. He would ridicule those that couldn't. "Nor-MAHN Smi-LAY." Smiley won the WCW Hardcore Championship on two occasion before WWF decided not to hire him after their takeover. After spells on the independent scene and in TNA, Smiley finally signed to WWE in 2007. He began work as trainer at WWE's developmental territory FCW. He would make on-screen appearances as 'Lieutenant General Manager' before seeing his job title change to the 'Liaison for the FCW President', reporting to Steve Keirn. After FCW was turned into NXT, Norman relocated to he WWE's Performance Center where he is currently one of the lead trainers, working with the NXT roster alongside the likes of another former WCW star, Bill DeMott.
