WCW/ECW Alliance - Where Are They Now?

Kanyon

Kanyon's is one of the saddest stories in wrestling. He was dedicated to making it in the business, but backstage politics held him down and, ultimately, caused him to take his own life. Kanyon was another Undertaker/Kane punch bag in the summer of 2001. Once that illustrious gig ended, he became a B show regular and had a couple of minor feuds before tearing his ACL. When he returned, things didn't get much better. He was famously destroyed by 'Taker (again) in February 2003, after he emerged from a crate singing a Boy George song (an obvious rib on Kanyon's homosexuality). After yet more injuries, Kanyon was released in February 2004. Years of erratic behaviour followed, including him gatecrashing a WWE house show in 2006, ostensibly to ask Triple H and Shawn Michaels why Vince McMahon fired him (Kanyon suspected it was a decision based on prejudice). On April 2, 2010 Kanyon's brother Ken found him dead in his New York apartment. He had taken his own life. A posthumous autobiography, detailing his struggles as a gay man in the wrestling business, was released in 2011.
