Like Mike Awesome, Sean O'Haire was another talented, agile big man who didn't fit in with WWE's image of what a big man should be. So he was shipped off to Developmental just a few months into the Invasion storyline, where he stayed for about a year-and-a-half (although he did frequently work house shows in 2002). O'Haire finally got called up to the main roster in early 2003 under his 'Devil's advocate' gimmick. The character's vignettes were awesome and O'Haire certainly had the look and the athletic ability to be a huge star, but he couldn't cut a live promo for toffee and, when his manager Roddy Piper was fired, WWE lost interest in him. He and the company parted ways in April 2004 and O'Haire worked a few indie and Japanese dates before retiring in order to focus on his MMA career. Although he lost all four of his kickboxing fights, O'Haire had a 4-2 record in MMA. O'Haire's later years were tumultuous, being arrested three times on assault charges. O'Haire's last MMA fight was in December 2007, after which he focused on his hair styling business. After years of battling depression and alcohol addiction (which included several trips to WWE-sponsored rehab), O'Haire committed suicide on September 9 2014. He was 43-years-old.
