Wednesday Night Wars RETURN: WWE vs. AEW Dynamite With "Loaded" NXT Show (WWE News)

It could be a November to remember when WWE and AEW go head to head on TV.

AEW Blood & Guts

Pro wrestling fans could be set for one hell of a night on 4 November as WWE NXT goes head to head with AEW Dynamite. Of course, that's the same evening Tony Khan produces All Elite's latest 'Blood & Guts' special, so WWE's product will need something equally as special.

The Wrestling Observer's Bryan Alvarez broke this news to his subscribers on X, and he claims NXT chiefs have been told to "load it up". That might mean Shawn Michaels and his troops will go all out (ahem) to make sure the 4 Nov edition of NXT is huge.

Following up, TV Insider is now officially listing that week's NXT for the Wednesday rather than its usual Tuesday time slot. Observer head Dave Meltzer then said via Wrestling Observer Radio that midterm election coverage in the United States would've necessitated a move anyway - otherwise, WWE would've been heavily preempted.

"Far too many stations" would've switched to footage of the elections instead of wrestling, so it makes sense for WWE/TKO to make this call. The real winners here? Fans, because they'll see both companies put their best foot forward in a 'Wednesday Night War'.

NXT will host Halloween Havoc before all of this madness on 31 October. That's set to be a big show for the developmental brand, so it'll be interesting to see what they have left heading into 4 November.

One thing's for sure: HBK will make sure this isn't a regular week for his roster. They've got some competition to stare down.
