What If Brock Lesnar Joined AEW

3. A WrestleMania Rematch

Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose will go down in history as one of the most disappointing WrestleMania matches ever, but Jon Moxley ain't Dean Ambrose. This is a whole different beast entirely.

If Brock Lesnar ever signs with AEW, a match with Jon Moxley is going to be pretty high on the company's agenda. Moxley has been arguably the biggest star in the short history of the promotion and he isn't going away anytime soon. If Brock came over, pairing him with the biggest name makes the most sense.

The two have history, but one has to presume that the more relaxed confines of AEW would bring out a lot more flexibility and enthusiasm in the match. Their 'Mania bout was hindered by a disinterested Lesnar, but that can't happen twice, especially if Moxley is given the green light to ramp up the violence.

The semi-finals of a contender's tournament might not sound like the obvious time for a major match between Brock Lesnar and Jon Moxley, but such a setting would only add extra importance and credibility to what could become the most prestigious championship in professional wrestling.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
