What If... Vince McMahon Booked AEW?!

MJF Day
AEW

Well, forget it: Vince would wonder aloud where the rest of MJF is before Cody gets disqualified in a TV match for kicking his ass too much, thus delivering the exact antithesis of what fans actually wanted.

You liked "A little bit of the bubbly", too, right? It was great. But you see, you didn't get quite enough of it. Vince would create a video package highlighting every meme - after several days of it being explained to him what a meme actually is - and march Chris Jericho out to the ring, by which point everybody is over it, and instruct Jericho to say it over and over again. Vince would have Fandago-d Le Champion for a second consecutive time.

Who would Vince have went with as his top star? Cody? He didn't even go with Cody when Cody became the next John Cena. Mox? Every word out of his mouth would have ended up on an internal ban list. Omega? Not bloody likely. He keeps doing Buddy Murphy’s moves. Then again, Vince doesn't know who Buddy Murphy is, so Omega might have done OK.

Realistically, given what is known about the man, Vince probably would have went with Luchasaurus, if he was able to stay free of injury, and it wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world - that is until he had Luchasaurus welcome you all to AEW Dynamite and made him stop doing the stuff that got him over.

Wardlow is the obvious pick, but AEW fans gravitated towards him because he was a good dude in addition to being an ass-kicking macho prototype. There was more than one dimension to Wardlow. Vince however would have pushed him so hard down your throat that you'd choke harder than Triple H booking a woman.

Elsewhere, Vince would have taken one look at Joey Janela and ripped up the closest format sheet in his proximity in disgust. He'd have taken a single glance at Riho and, well, is not advisable to even joke about what he unquestionably would have thought. And how would he perceive Darby Allin?
