What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?

21. WrestleMania 15

The Undertaker can't keep his main event streak up at WrestleMania XV, though, as his penultimate Hell in a Cell match with Big Boss Man sounds like a big deal on paper, but that gimmick speaks to how their match needed something to spice it up. Plus, it wouldn't be a great ending for night one of WrestleMania to finish with someone being hanged.

Unfortunately, WrestleMania XV is among the weaker cards where there are lots of big names, but they're mostly thrown together in matches that sound more appropriate for SummerSlam than the biggest show of the year, so there isn't a standout pick to immediately focus on.

For example, the Four Corners Elimination Match for the Intercontinental Championship with Road Dogg, Goldust, Ken Shamrock and Val Venis is more quantity than quality. The Brawl for All fight is a squash, Kane vs. Triple H is for nothing, the European title match between Shane McMahon and X-Pac doesn't scream main event...so what does?

Splitting this into two nights opens up an opportunity for Mankind vs. Big Show to headline the first night to establish who would be the special guest referee of the second night's main event, as Austin vs. The Rock is the only match that really sold this show.
