What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?
20. WrestleMania 16
Would WrestleMania 2000 have had a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match for the WWF Championship if the show were split in half?
That still might have been the case, and working with that in mind, rather than trying to split this up into some fantasy scenario of The Rock, Mick Foley, and Big Show fighting for the No. 1 contender's spot or something means something else has to step up.
That's certainly not going to be the cat fight between Terri Runnels and The Kat, the inter-gender tag team match, the hardcore battle royal or any of the other undercard fights, nor the oddball Kane and Rikishi vs. X-Pac and Road Dogg tag team match.
It really comes down to either the first TLC match that was still just called a "triangle ladder match" between Edge & Christian, The Dudley Boyz, and The Hardy Boyz, or the Two-Fall Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental and European titles.
Given how the TLC concept gained more notoriety because of this, rather than before, and tag team titles never mean as much in WWE compared to B-tier and C-tier singles championships, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, and Kurt Angle take the first night's main event with ease.
