What If WWE WrestleMania Was Always 2 Nights?
12. WrestleMania 24
WrestleMania XXIV might seem like an easy answer, but there are two, if not three matches that are actually worth talking about.
The Undertaker beating Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship is absolutely the right call for the true main event, but for the secondary one, it might have been a bland downer for Saturday to end with Randy Orton retaining the WWE Championship over Triple H and John Cena - even with Cena's surprise No. 30 Royal Rumble comeback victory, since that was wasted ahead of time.
Floyd "Money" Mayweather against Big Show in a No Disqualification match was one of the most featured fights on the show and a huge draw for casuals, but that, too, would have been an odd ending to the first half of the biggest pay-per-view of the year.
That leaves what many people would say is the other most notable thing from this event, which was Ric Flair's retirement match against Shawn Michaels.
While Flair would downgrade this moment by stepping back in the ring many more times afterward, at this particular time, it was a fitting finale for his iconic career.
