What Next For TNA After New TV Deal Signed? (TNA News)
With TNA formally announcing yesterday that AMC will be the promotion's new home from 15 January, there are now some details on what talent may or may not be around when the new year gets here.
Per Fightful Select, the Rascalz, Steve Maclin, AJ Francis, Jake Something, Jody Threat, and Mustafa Ali all had contracts coming up with a one-month period, and Cedric Alexander and TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions the IInspiration's deals expired after Bound for Glory back in October. Additionally, the company also has names like Matt Cardona and Rich Swann that have long been working without a contract, having not officially 'signed' with TNA since joining the Anthem outfit.
For those whose talents whose contracts are in the process of expiring, or have already expired, this report notes that there have already been conversations with some of those wrestlers, "but with others, not so much." Likewise, a "number" of conversations are expected to take place over the next week or so about possible extensions. Fightful adds that "a couple" of names were waiting until the announcement of TNA's new TV deal before they started negotiating a new deal with the promotion.
On top of that, TNA is on the lookout for new talent, with former AEW man Bear Bronson one name mentioned. Since departing AEW earlier this year, Bronson has been incredibly active on the independent scenes, competing for notable indies such as GCW, Beyond, REVOLVER, and House of Glory.
