What REALLY Happened To WWE's 16 Tallest Wrestlers Ever?

7. Big Show (7')

Known For: Big Show worked more babyface > heel and heel > babyface turns than anyone could count during his core stint in the WWF/WWE between 1999-2021. That timeline is a little misleading, because WCW's former man mountain The Giant did leave WWE for a brief period between 2007-2008, and he worked a limited schedule from maybe 2016 onwards.

Even so, Show won multiple World Titles and a whole litter of other belts throughout his career. He's surely a lock for induction into WWE's Hall Of Fame someday.

What Happened To Him: Paul Wight left WWE in 2021 and joined Tony Khan's AEW revolution. In interviews, he spoke of wanting to wrestle more, and openly bashed WWE's way of doing things. That probably won't be held against him if he returns as a Hall Of Famer in the future - Show wouldn't be the first worker to badmouth the company then get one of those shiny HOF rings later on.

If everyone's being real about it, his All Elite run has been a waste of time. Despite showing some promise as a commentator here or there, Wight has rarely been deployed in that role on upper tier programming, and his 7 matches for Khan's league have been...mediocre at best. That's being kind.

Wight's gargantuan size earned him chance after chance in WWE, but he's put his body through the wringer to keep going even when his knees screamed 'NO MORE!'. It's scary to think this big bugger could perform dropkicks and other athletic moves in his prime.

That was never going to last. Oh well, so long as he's relatively healthy and happy. That's the main thing.
