What They Did Next: WWE 2021 Releases - Part 1

13. Steve Cutler

Chelsea Green IMPACT Slammiversary
IMPACT Wrestling

Highlighting Steve Cutler and Jaxson Ryker's previous service as marines, the Forgotten Sons faction were portrayed as jaded militia/biker types. Perhaps it was in service of this character that Ryker put out his infamous ill-advised tweet supporting Donald Trump in the middle of the George Floyd Black Lives Matter protests, but the words were tone-deaf in the wake of all that was happening and the backlash soon led to the Forgotten Sons being taken off television in the hopes they would live up to their name.

After months out of the ring, Cutler and Blake reappeared sans Ryker as the newly formed Knights Of The Lone Wolf, helping out King Corbin. However, this faction was to be short-lived when Steve contracted COVID at a New Year's Eve party. Fearing for the safety of immuno-compromised stars like Roman Reigns, a furious Vince "I paid to make wrestling an essential business that could keep filming in the middle of a pandemic" McMahon immediately fired Cutler.

Cutler went back on the indie scene, appearing at Beyond Wrestling on 3 June as Steve Machlin, before debuting on the 17 June episode of IMPACT!

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
