What WWE Fans Are Told When They Enter ThunderDome
Here's how things work behind WWE's wall of Zoom calls...
August saw the implementation of WWE ThunderDome inside Orlando's Amway Center, with the promotion delivering what they described as a "state-of-the-art viewing experience" as a means of freshening its Empty Arena Era shows up, hopefully spiking viewership numbers in the process.
It was a welcome move away from the dingy, unengaging confines of the Performance Center, though it'll soon come to an end, as WWE's deal with the Amway Center concludes at the end of the month.
Fans are still being encouraged to stream in via video call until then. PWInsider has come through with a new report noting that said fans are given relatively loose instructions on how to react during Raw and SmackDown, with producers communicating through their headsets as the show goes on. Digital fans are told when, exactly, a wrestler is going to come out, though audience members aren't told whether to cheer or boo specifically. All the producers ask is that they show some kind of reaction.
Journalist Gary Cassidy has previously reported that WWE wrestlers have been told to get ready to hit the road once the ThunderDome deal expires. WWE is yet to confirm their plans beyond October.
